These costumes interact with kids, outdoors, in hot weather, each season. Even with the durability put into the design of these costumes, they are sent back to us bi-yearly for a <a href=\"https:\/\/olympusmascots.com\/mascot-services\/mascot-cleaning-and-repair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">mascot cleaning and repair<\/span><\/a> if needed.<\/p><p>While we recognize that some <a href=\"https:\/\/olympusmascots.com\/blog\/mascot-head-cleaning-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">DIY mascot maintenance and mascot cleaning<\/span><\/a> is needed and we do encourage it, having a professional team do routine maintenance will ensure your investment will stand the test of time. Mascot Replication<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-af29db8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"af29db8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>You\u2019d be hard-pressed to find a large-scale organization that does not have multiple copies of its mascot costume. Having multiples of a mascot costume ensures you have a backup in case something goes wrong, and also gives you the ability to have multiple <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/olympusmascots.com\/blog\/choosing-mascot-performer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mascot performers<\/a><\/span> on the job. For example, the Milwaukee Brewers use two mascot costumes for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bernie_Brewer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bernie Brewer<\/a><\/span> simultaneously during their baseball games. One performer mans the home run slide, while the other walks around the park and interacts with guests at a more personal level.<\/p><p>Having multiples copies of a costume not only allows you to be in two places at once, but it also allows you to substitute a backup costume in while another is out of commission. Having a backup costume gives you the ability to use your mascot during a period of planned maintenance or repair, or react quickly to any costume malfunction.<\/p><p>Your vendor should have patterning capabilities that allow for exact matching between mascot costumes.
