Picking a Mascot for your school, organization, or company can be difficult. We came up with a list of mascot ideas to get you started!
The New Year is the perfect time to reflect on accomplishments, memories, and adventures that made the past year unforgettable. Here at Olympus Mascots, we like to add one more thing and look back on the incredible custom mascots we had the opportunity to create. Every mascot we design is completely custom-made, which means no two projects are ever the same. From the initial mascot design to fabric selection, character details, and accessories, each build brings something new and exciting making our selection for top five nearly impossible.
Still, we love highlighting the creative and collaborative projects our talented team accomplished throughout the year, along with the fun we had along the way. With that in mind, here are our Top 5 Mascots of 2025.
Kicking things off, we are highlighting our most timeless mascot of the year with a true classic – Charlie Tuna! Charlie has been the face of Starkist since 1961 and is instantly recognizable by his bright red beret, glasses, and enthusiastic personality. Many remember him from commercials featuring the famous line, “Sorry, Charlie.”
Charlie Tuna is especially meaningful to us because Olympus first created his mascot costume in 2008, replicated it in 2016, and brought him back once more this year. Each time we create this mascot, we focus on maintaining his iconic look and brand image while still giving him a refresh so he remains timeless. Being able to continually work with a mascot over many years is something we love, which makes Charlie a personal favorite of ours this year.
We create multiple mascots every year, and after more than 40 years in the mascot industry, we’ve come across some crazy mascots. Every once in a while, a project comes along so unique it stands out from the rest of the pack. This year, that honor goes to Dr. Flossy, a giant tooth mascot created for Premier Community HealthCare.
Premier Community HealthCare wanted a mascot that encourages healthy brushing habits and helps kids feel excited about taking care of their teeth. To bring that vision to life, we focused on designing a friendly, welcoming custom mascot costume that reflects the organization’s mission while still being approachable, engaging and fun for children. And honestly, what’s more fun than seeing a giant tooth mascot walking down the street, spreading smiles and promoting healthy habits? Dr. Flossy’s creative design and positive message made him a standout mascot project for us in 2025.
One of the highlights of our year was the opportunity to collaborate closely with our customers during the mascot design process. While many partners come to us with a well-established concept, others invite us to help shape the design from the ground up. This year, our most collaborative mascot experience came from working with the UFL on Archie for the St. Louis Battlehawks.
The United Football League (UFL) is a premier professional American spring football league that formed in 2024, with a mission to take football to the next level through innovative rules and play styles. That same energy translated into Archie’s design. His big muscles, bold build, and bright blue fabric help him stand out on game day and beyond. Outside of the game, Archie helps the Battlehawks accomplish their mission of giving back to St. Louis and creating a strong sense of community. Recently he was found helping teachers and students receive necessary school supplies for the upcoming year. Archie’s creative design and special personality make him one of our favorite mascots for the year.
Not only do we just create mascots from scratch but we also replicate existing mascots. Over time, mascots start to wear down or a company might go through a brand change so their mascot needs an updated look. We replicate a lot of mascots in a year, which isn’t as easy as they seem (find out about the process here!). This year our top replication goes to the updated Cinnemojis.
The Cinnemojis were introduced in 2019 as the official mascots for Cinnamon Toast Crunch. These cereal mascots are known for their wide eyes, expressive faces, and endless obsession with their favorite cereal. When we originally created them, our goal was to design mascots that perfectly embodied this playful personality. The new mascots are pretty similar but have a slightly modern touch with more realistic cartoon features. You can also see the Cinnemojis in action all over the place. You might even remember them from a 2024 commercial with the Kelce and Watt Brothers. Being able to create the mascots not just once but twice was an absolute delight!
Taking the top spot for 2025 is Bazooka Joe, one of the most recognizable brand mascots of all time. Long before becoming a mascot costume, Bazooka Joe was known for (and is still known for) his famous comic strips found inside Bazooka gum wrappers. He’s remembered for his adventurous stories, his friends, and his unforgettable eye patch.
Bazooka Joe has been represented in music, clothing, art, movies, social media and now as a full-scale mascot. Bringing this beloved animated character to life was an amazing experience. From his expressive facial features to his iconic eye patch, no detail was overlooked. Seeing such a legendary character transformed into a real-world mascot costume was truly rewarding and earns Bazooka Joe the number one spot on our list.
After a year of hard work, dedication, talent, collaboration, and of course lots of mascots, we are proud of the incredible customers we’ve had the opportunity to work with. Each year we push the boundaries a little more and create mascots we would never have expected. We are excited to see what next year’s lineup of mascots will bring.
